My research, consulting, and economic regulatory policy interests are in the areas of financial accounting, auditing, valuation, financial statement analysis, and financial regulation. I have been in business school academia as an accounting faculty member since graduating from Washington University’s Olin School of Business in 2007 with PhD in Business Administration. In addition to being a tenured full professor at The University of Baltimore, I also serve as a Director of Grad Programs at the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business with primary responsibilities of overseeing MBA and other grad programs. I have also held part-time adjunct teaching appointments in Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Virginia Tech’s MBA program.

Furthermore, I have developed significant financial regulatory expertise through my two stints as a visiting economist/scholar at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a sabbatical visit at FINRA. I continue to serve as a part-time expert economist at the SEC focusing on the economic analysis of SEC accounting and auditing rulemaking while maintaining a full-time academic appointment at the University of Baltimore. I am also a part-time contract economist for EmployStats, an economic litigation consulting firm in Texas.
